EQUIPMENT FOUNDATIONS

Meca Enterprises provides structural engineering for modular steel buildings used to house electrical, process, and mechanical systems in industrial environments. We specialize in analyzing steel-framed modular buildings — whether they’re designed for permanent installation or transportation as prefabricated units.

We support original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), fabricators, and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms by ensuring that the structural design of the modular buildings are sound for wind, seismic, snow, equipment loads, lifting, and transportation stresses. Calculation packages can be provided with or without a stamp by a Professional Engineer (PE) upon request.

Foundation Design Services Include

  • Structural design of concrete pads, piers, and slabs
  • Anchor bolt layout and embedment design
  • Baseplate and anchor tension/uplift checks per American Concrete Institute (ACI) and American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC)
  • Bearing pressure and sliding resistance verification
  • Coordination with client-supplied geotechnical data (soil bearing capacity, etc.)
  • Foundation reinforcement layout and development length checks
  • Finite element analysis (FEA) for high-load anchors or load distribution
