MecaStack
MecaStack stands as the most widely utilized software globally for the design of self-supported and guy wire supported steel stacks. Our user-friendly Windows-based interface enables designers to efficiently model a stack with complete control over the codes used for Along Wind, Across Wind, Stress, and Fatigue. Additionally, the software allows for the customization of load combinations and factors, providing flexibility and precision as per the specific project requirements.
MecaWind
MecaWind is a highly efficient program that engineers and designers rely on to conduct Wind calculations per ASCE 7-22, 7-16, 7-10, & 7-05 as well as the Florida Building Code. The user-friendly nature of the program, coupled with its ability to generate professional-looking outputs containing all necessary wind calculations, makes it a standout choice. MecaLug
MecaLug is an intuitive and user-friendly software program designed to effectively design and analyze lifting lugs per ASME BTH-1 "Design of Below-the-Hook Lifting Devices." Additionally, the program offers an advanced capability to apply these lugs to a lifting system and analyze the corresponding loads experienced by the crane, cable, and lugs - thereby functioning as an all-in-one lifting design software.

Our new EBook offers a comprehensive set of wind load calculations, demonstrating the process of calculating wind loads per ASCE 7-16 and ASCE 7-22 in a clear and detailed manner. Furthermore, the EBook provides a valuable comparison of the different methods within each standard, as well as a detailed analysis of the results obtained from ASCE 7-16 versus ASCE 7-22.

Self Supported Stack Design
Meca has designed many different types of self-supported steel stacks, ranging in height from 6 m (20ft) to 100 m (328 ft.). Some special design considerations we experienced have included:

GUY WIRE SUPPORTED STACK DESIGN
Meca has designed many guy supported stacks ranging from 15 m (50 ft.) to 167 m (550 ft.) in height. We have performed the following types of special designs:

- Unique Guy Arrangements
- Tandem and Piggy Back Stacks

Finite Element Analysis
Finite element analysis does not always have to be expensive. We encounter certain types of problems repeatedly involving stacks, piping, pressure vessels, etc. Therefore, we have become very adept at building certain geometries for analysis very quickly to provide a cost-effective solution.
AIR COOLED HEAT EXCHANGER STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS
Meca has years of experience verifying the structural integrity for air coolers of various types and designs. We also have experience in the verification of box headers and FEA of nozzles.

Damping Pads
Meca offers damping pads tailored for stacks, presenting an economical solution typically suitable for stack heights ranging from approximately 50 ft [15.2 m] to 150 ft [45.72 m]. This solution is simple to implement in new stack designs. Damping pads have garnered over 50 years of industry use, establishing a solid reputation for reliability and effectiveness.
Tuned Mass Dampers (TMD)
A Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) is a device that can be incorporated into the top portion of a stack to enhance its damping, effectively mitigating wind-induced vibration. This advanced solution provides a reliable method to suppress vibration, contributing to the overall stability and performance of the stack.
Tuned Liquid Dampers (TLD)
Meca specializes in the design of Tuned Mass Dampers (TMD) and Tuned Liquid Dampers (TLD). These solutions are commonly applied to stacks that are 150 ft [45. m] and taller. The selection between TMD and TLD is influenced by various factors that determine the most suitable solution for a specific scenario.
